What is a Learning Tower / Kitchen Helper?
A learning tower, or a kitchen helper, is a stool that enables kids to reach the kitchen counter with limited risk for falling. The child (typically a toddler) is protected on all sides by the sides that help to keep them from falling if they lose their balance while helping at the counter.
Why a Kitchen Helper?
Kids like to help. They like to learn. We spend so much time in the kitchen preparing meals. Food preparation, dish washing and anything else we do at the counter are excellent opportunities to engage with and teach our kids. These learning towers are often recommended to Montessori families. Making use of a learning tower / kitchen helper can help your kids to build confidence and comfort in the kitchen.
Learning Tower Options
This learning tower is available as a tower with a single step or a tower that converts into a chair and desk. The sides are shaped as the letter A and an option will be available to have sides shaped as the letter B. You will be able to purchase the tower or desk option with A‘s or B‘s or a combination for the sides.
There will also soon be an option to have the desktop painted with chalkboard paint and add other accessories that provide additional opportunities for learning.
